Why mini-reviews?

I just returned from three weeks out of state and away from my computer. During that time, I read four novels and three non-fiction books. Most of them were library books, and I have to return some of them tomorrow to avoid fines. I thought about just skipping the reviews, but I really liked these books. Rather than stay up all night writing complete reviews, I have provided basic information and links to reviews others have written. After this, I’ll return to my regular format.

Teeth of the Tiger by Tom Clancy

Thriller, 3 Stars

  • Amazon.com. This is a product sales page, but you can scroll past the sales copy to view hundreds of reader reviews.
  • ReviewsofBooks.com
    • Excellent site, very professional. Includes links to two other reviews.
  • Clancyfaq.com
    • A short review on a site all about Tom Clancy. If you are into Clancy novels, you might find this site interesting.

Prey by Michael Crichton

Thriller, 3 Stars

  • Amazon.com. This is a product sales page, but you can scroll past the sales copy to view hundreds of reader reviews.

Digital Fortress by Dan Brown

Thriller, 4 Stars

  • Amazon.com. This is a product sales page, but you can scroll past the sales copy to view hundreds of reader reviews.
  • WAP.org
    • The Washington Apple Pi site; run by Mac enthusiasts. They reviewed Digital Fortress because it is “almost-pure geek.”

Phantom by Terry Goodkind

Fantasy, 5 Stars

This is the final book in Goodkind’s excellent Sword of Truth series, which I started nearly four years ago. After waiting over a year each for the last three books to be released, they are finally all out, and I highly recommend them. I suggest you start with Wizard’s First Rule (Sword of Truth, Book 1) and read them in order.
